Recorded in the 1970s and released in 1991, Clifton Chenier: Out Westshowcases his unique Creole/zydeco style of instrumental and vocal music. Chenier and his Red Hot Louisiana Band would regularly travel to the West Coast to spread classic Louisiana music to anyone who would listen. Known as the “King of Zydeco,” Chenier carved out a spot for himself in the history of zydeco music by making it popular to a much wider audience.
